Search for the Elusive Jet-Induced Diffusion Wake in <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mml:mi>Z</mml:mi><mml:mo stretchy="false">/</mml:mo><mml:mi>γ</mml:mi></mml:math> -Jets with 2D Jet Tomography in High-Energy Heavy-Ion Collisions

Diffusion wake is an unambiguous part of the jet-induced medium response in high-energy heavy-ion collisions that leads to a depletion soft hadrons opposite direction jet propagation. New experimental data on $Z$-hadron correlation Pb+Pb at Large Hadron Collider show, however, enhancement both $Z$ and jet. Using coupled linear Boltzmann transport hydro model, we demonstrate modification partons from initial multiple parton interaction (MPI) gives rise hadron uniform azimuthal angle while gluon radiation dominate direction. After subtraction contributions MPI with mixed-event procedure, diffusion becomes visible near-side correlation. We further employ longitudinal transverse gradient tomography for first time localize production positions $Z/\gamma$-jet events which effect apparent $Z/\gamma$-hadron even without MPI.
